  • What is the difference between the Full-Time MBA and the Part-Time EMBA programs?

Saturdays, from 9 am through 1 pm

  • What is the difference between the Two-Year EMBA and the 15-Month Regional EMBA?

The difference lies in program scheme (classes and module layout). The degree and program contents are the same.

  • Are program participants any different in either format (Two-Year vs. 15-Month Regional EMBAs)?

Basically, their profile is the same. The Regional EMBA offers a more convenient option for applicants residing in other Argentine provinces or abroad, or for individuals who, due agenda limitations, cannot attend classes every week.

  • How much time do I need to devote to the Program outside classes?

It depends on each student. However, it has been estimated that 18 study hours (case and note reading and preparation) a week are needed.

  • Is the EMBA really compatible with job demands?

The program has been designed for executives holding responsibility positions. However, during the program, students will have to devote a lot of their personal time to meet EMBA demands and maximize its benefits.

  • What happens if I miss a class?

A sporadic absence is inevitable. Thus, the support of the group is extremely significant. However, if you need to miss classes frequently, this program is not suitable for you. The EMBA requires an 80% attendance every quarter

  • Is there a distance-learning EMBA available?

No, currently IAE does not offer distance-learning programs.

  • Is it necessary to take IAE’s Admission Test if I have passed the GMAT?

With a minimum GMAT score of 500 in the past two years, it is not necessary to take IAE’s Admission Test. You would only need to schedule a meeting with EMBA’s Admissions Director.

  • Why is the MBA expensive?

IAE’s long-standing and renowned track record compares to that of the best business schools in the world. Thus, its programs are not expensive. IAE invests constantly in faculty training so that students are provided with the latest knowledge and state-of-the-art learning techniques.

  • How can I persuade my company to provide financial aid for my MBA or to allow me to attend classes?

It is useful to submit a report explaining the reasons why you wish to attend an MBA program and the benefits this will provide for your company. For some useful guidelines and a presentation designed for employers.

  • How should I prepare for the Admission Test?

We recommend writing to our Admissions Department at  emba@iae.edu.ar for websites offering sample exams.

  • Are there exchange programs with other universities abroad?

No, the EMBA Program does not offer exchange programs with other schools abroad. However, it does include the option to attend the Global Immersion Program (GIP), after completing the first year, at three of the U.S. top ten universities.

  • Is the command of English necessary?

Though it is not required, it is recommended. The EMBA Program prioritizes participants’ work experience over their English language knowledge. For lectures in English, IAE hires interpreters.

  • Is it necessary to come to class with a laptop computer?

Though it is not required, it is strongly recommended.
