Mission
The Center pursues the education and training of business leaders and senior management through the development of academic and practical material, creating awareness and fostering discussion about organizational dilemmas concerning good business practices and corruption. It also seeks to establish itself as a referent in the study of the challenges that business firms face on a daily basis when dealing with transparency and integrity issues in their own environments.
General Goals
- To promote and disseminate research in business ethics, compliance, corporate governance and transparency.
- To provide practical research results to leaders in business, public policy and education, and to help them understand and face the complex compliance and integrity problems that present themselves in business practices at local, regional and global levels.
- To examine the presence of organizational incentives that promote ethical practices, along with processes and decision-taking features associated with governance and integrity failures..
Specific Goals
To create a cooperation platform for compliance officers through the introduction of a compliance officers network and later association in Argentina and rest of the region; this network welcomes as members all those practitioners and organizations that are dedicated to the study, implementation and follow-up of compliance and integrity programs.
- To promote and implement integrity pacts with leading business firms from different sectors in Argentina following the guidelines of successful initiatives such as the PACE or the UN Global Compact program.
- To hold conferences, seminars and workshops with the participation of different actors involved in governance and transparence issues such as companies, consulting firms, business chambers, NGOs and think tanks.
- To become members and partners of both academic and professional organizations that pursue similar goals at regional and global levels, and to keep close ties of cooperation with them through the regular participation in their conferences and annual meetings, including the possibility of holding joint events.
- To maintain a website by which to disseminate the Center’s activities with timely updated relevant information through specific channels such as newsletters, blogs and webcasts; to keep an updated database with information about the field in the form of glossaries, academic papers, press articles, events calendar, code of conduct manuals and links of interest to relevant centers, associations, publications and initiatives
