One of IAE's strategic pursuits hinges on the use of current information and communications technologies to live up to its mission, contributing to knowledge advancement and building stronger ties with its alumni and other stakeholders.
Virtual social networks provide a means for individuals to come together in order to share and disseminate contents as well as to expand their knowledge of other people and organizations. In recent years, we have followed closely the strong development of online communities, social networking and all other tools and technologies leading to the Web 2.0.
Our earliest goal was to learn more about the latest trends, exploring relevant cases and approaching specialists. Later, with several initiatives, IAE has started to venture into this new path, actively creating sites, channels and proprietary communities at Blogspot, Blogger, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other networks. These efforts are part of our endeavors to grow regionally and internationally.
Clearly, social netowrks have spearheaded the development of the new Internet, with increasing numbers of users among individuals and organizations. Applications are as diverse as users, and versatility grows at rising speed. HR consultants are already using social networking not only as a recruiting tool but also a means to assess candidates. Corporations are introducing social balance sheets to their contents, investing heavily to optimize their homepages. Our overriding goal is to learn and plan, to gain a better understanding of what our users need in order to provide academic contents that both reflect our mission and meet their educational requirements.
IAE is and will continue to be an academic organization intended to serve society. Through social networks, we intend to strengthen our mission -to contribute to the knowledge development and personal growth of business men and women, strengthening their managerial skills as well as the human virtues required for management.
