 Why a Media & Entertainment Interest group?

Almost everyone has an opinion on and knows about media and entertainment. Analyzed as a socializing agent, TV is considered the third activity a human being is engaged in, after sleeping and working or studying. Internet has influenced our lives by putting together information exchange communities. Traditional media such as radio and cinema have undergone substantial changes of shape and contents over the last years. Publicity has reconverted itself to make use of new physical and virtual spaces in a creative way.

Due to their enormous influence, media and the entertainment industry in any of its forms -magazines, films, TV, Internet, videogames- must be included when designing the project of a nation. This is the reason why we are interested in creating a space to foster the exchange of ideas. Such a space will produce new projects and support others under way and channel our interest in transmitting new values to and from the media.

Objetives

1. To create a space of mutual interest enabling the exchange of ideas and experiences.
2. To create a space for discussing the influence of the media on society.
3. To set the basis for the creation of executive or postgraduate programs oriented to this industry.
4.

To generate synergy with IAE Media & Entertainment Research Centre seeking a mutual benefit.
